Adera Dé is a family-owned dance, fitness, and wellness company founded in 2012 by Adesina Sampson. We provide school-based movement programs for students ages 5 to 18 that support physical wellness, student engagement, and stronger school connection.
As an approved vendor with the Department of Education (DOE) and a certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), Adera Dé offers schools a seamless partnership experience, eliminating complex bidding procedures and simplifying program implementation.
Designed to help reduce chronic absenteeism, our professionally led programs increase participation and motivation through culturally responsive dance experiences. Adera Dé has seen positive success in schools across New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina, where our programs have supported attendance initiatives, enrichment goals, and overall school climate improvement.
Our mission is to cultivate confident, creative, and healthy students through movement-based education that supports both physical wellness and artistic expression.
Comprehensive In-School Programming
Adera Dé provides dynamic, standards-aligned programming that integrates seamlessly into the school day and beyond.
Flagship Dance Programs
Our core curriculum offers professional instruction in modern, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, giving students technical foundation, creative exploration, and performance skills.
Social Dance Instruction
Students are also introduced to culturally rich Latin ballroom styles including Merengue, Salsa, Bachata, and Foxtrot, promoting coordination, confidence, cultural awareness, and social engagement.
Zero-Period Morning Wellness
Beginning as early as 7:00 AM, Adera Dé instructors provide energizing morning programming such as yoga and drumming classes to support mindfulness, focus, and positive school-day readiness.
Daytime Electives
Between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Adera Dé serves as an elective provider, either stepping in to teach or partnering collaboratively with a school’s art, music, dance, or physical education staff to enhance existing programming.
After-School Dance Teams and Clubs
From 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM, we build structured after-school dance teams and clubs that foster teamwork, discipline, leadership, and school spirit.
Culminating Performances and Community Engagement
Each 6 to 9-month partnership culminates in a professionally organized performance experience. These showcases, whether winter concerts in December or spring productions aligned with Black History Month, Women’s Health Month, or Juneteenth, celebrate student growth while engaging families and the broader school community.
Adera Dé is more than a dance program. It is a comprehensive wellness and enrichment partner committed to empowering schools through movement, culture, and community.
